Allan and Robin's Bicycle Trip
I would like to take you all on a journey with us. A journey across America in the mid-eighties, husband and wife on a tandem bicycle. Computers and the internet were not in the average home, and there was no Red-Bull energy drink (ok, Red-Bull was first launched in Austria in 1987). We had no worries, just 5 months married, no children, no home, no possession, we just wanted to cross America and tell people about Jesus, being 'born again', and how great and mighty God is.
We both were attending missionary school in Pasadena, California and we basically dropped out to be bicycle missionaries. My wife, Robin, initially became interested in bicycles by me telling stories of my first bicycle trip. Yes, in 1984 I rode my 10 speed across America and did around 4,200 miles. I traveled by myself, I was single, and just wanted to ride (I'll tell that story when this one's done). Click on 'The Bicycle Trip' link in the menu above to begin.
